Terminology is a complex topic, and articulating that complexity in such a way that novices or non-experts can understand it is difficult.
The video below includes a 30 minute walk through of Terminologies in FHIR by Grahame Grieve. It’s the only introduction to FHIR terminology I’ve seen that succeeds — and I’ve watched so many of them!
