The program for DevDays 2025 was released yesterday.
Every year the focus shifts, reinforcing what’s hot and topical in the healthcare data space. This year is no exception. Well worth a look even if you won’t be attending.

I’ve singled out 5 presentations that I’d like to see.
1. “Think local, act standard on FHIR terminologies”
Using custom ValueSets and CodeSystems is something I’ve been digging into on a project recently. It would be great to get an outside perspective.
~ Ritika Narula & Tyler Wagner (Roche)
2. “GenAI in ETL – Mapping unstructured data to FHIR”
This is a timely topic. I know that moving from PDFs to FHIR is at the top of the agenda for many organizations. Great to see this being discussed.
~ Max Nussbaumer (Firely)
3. “Leveraging FHIR in a DICOM world”
Bridging the gap between DICOM and FHIR is not as easy it is should be.
~ Diana Ovelgönne (Siemens Healthineers)
4. “Consent management and enforcement: Fine-grained access control of sensitive data”
One of those complicated topics that everyone seems to put aside until “later.”
~ Mohammad Jafari
5. “Elevating FHIR data quality: A multi-resource approach to comprehensive validation”
Validating data across FHIR resources is something that I feel has been neglected by the community but is required for any practical business case. Definitely on my “must see” list.
~ Vajih Montaghami (Verily)
If you won’t be attending, remember that all the videos will be available on YouTube 6 months later. If you are attending, drop me a message and we’ll meet up for a coffee. 😀
