Visualizing non-conforming FHIR data on public test servers

A few weeks ago I was fixing an issue in Vanya that prevented FHIR bundles from rendering when they contained invalid or non-conforming resources.

The code changes I made opened up an unexpected can of worms. Non-conforming FHIR data on almost every FHIR server I had access to — private as well as public.

I first raised these issues in a post on LinkedIn a couple of weeks ago.

In this short video I show you in real-time some of the errors I found.

The first step in fixing a problem is knowing you have a problem. Vanya’s new Conformance Check is a very visual indicator of whether or not you have a problem.
